Happy New Year! 5 Simple Habits to Reach Your New Years Goals

New Year, New Me!! How many years/times have we said that when January 1st comes around? There is nothing wrong with setting goals, but sometimes we set those goals with no plan in place and then get frustrated when we do not reach them.

  1. Set realistic goals

    1. Decide which goals are short-term: 1 - 2 months and long-term goals: 6 - 12 months

  2. Set a reminder or alarm to help you stay on track

  3. Recruit family and friends to help keep you honest

  4. Couple a new habit with an old habit (idea courtesy of the book Atomic Habits)

  5. Be flexible. Life happens and things will come up. Have a back up plan, especially if it's a fitness goal.
