On the Road Again: Travel for Work?

Traveling for work can have its perks, but it can definitely make it difficult to stay on track with ones fitness, nutrition, and overall health goals.

Staying on track does not have to be complicated, and with a little preplanning, you can get through your work trip with less frustration.

Whether you are driving or flying, take pre-made snacks with you. Snacks composed of protein and fiber will help keep you feeling full and reduce the chances of going through a drive-thru or purchasing over-priced fast food at the airport

Look up restaurant menus that are local to your hotel.

Make substitutions to items: instead of rice, ask for an additional serving of vegetables.

**Beware of added calories: dressings, extra cheese, croutons**

No time to exercise? Take the stairs, park further from the entrance, start your day with push ups, sit ups, and squats or lunges (3 sets of 10 reps for each).
